Allman Brothers Cancel Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 Performance

(Getty Images)more pics »Gregg Allman had a liver transplant this week, and because of his need for some R&R following the operation, the band’s performance at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago has been canceled today, according to the New York Times. the Allman Brothers musician, who has Hepatitis C, had the surgery in Jacksonville, Fla., and is recovering well.

the 62-year-old has been on a waiting list for a new liver and the band has had to cancel concerts in the past due to his unstable health. Allman was notified that a liver was ready for him the night before he went into surgery.
Doctors assure him he’ll be fit to walk his 29-year-old daughter Island down the aisle next month. “I feel pretty good, considering everything that’s happened,” he said in a statement.

Shannon Price’s people must me working overtime.
A new clip has surfaced of Gary Coleman and his then-wife from their never-aired 2008 reality show pilot, and the focal point is their “true” and “unconditional” love.
In the previous clip that leaked last week, Gary pretty much called Shannon a money-grubbing leech. They also divorced right around the time the pilot was filmed.
But no matter. The new footage shows Coleman proclaiming his goal is “to keep Shannon Price in my life,” as she “will always be more important than anything.”
Except for Anna Gray, to whom he left his estate.
TRUE LOVE: Shannon Price would like you to think so, anyway.
Coleman’s ex-wife, with whom he was living but never remarried following their 2008 divorce, has been shamelessly trying to cash in on his tragic may 28 death.
Not only has she made a legal play for his estate, citing her status as his common law wife, but she wasted little time shopping interviews – and even worse.
We realize he’s gone and a girl’s gotta get paid, but hawking a Gary Coleman death photo to the Globe was one of the most shameless, evil moves we can recall.
We doubt Gary would be gushing about his unbridled passion for her right now if he were around to see what she’s done since he passed away. Just saying.

DIY- Parking Lamp Delete w/ working blinkers(pics & clip) – 318ti …
I thought I might share a quick mod and document it for those who might be searching.
this is a quick and painless mod to delete those unsightly amber turn signal’s, and allow for the crisp halo’s and HID to bling! You still have the blinker’s and Hazards functionable and working.
I realize you can do the elec. tape mod on the bulb or get into fuse box to acheive this look. IMO, this is sooo much easier and safer.
Est time: 10-15 min.
Tools: 1. Small flathead 2. Electrical tape 3. Zip-tie optional
the wire you are disconnecting is the hot wire(gry/ylw-pass side & gry/violet-driver side) for both sides. this is the same wire that you spliced your AE’s into which allow them constant power with the running lamp assembly. also FYI…I already had my AE’s splice into hot wire, do not eliminate this connection or your AE’s will not have power.
Other than that, pretty simple and effective outcome! enjoy and best of luck!

The couple competed in the South Beach Triathlon on Sunday to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital!
“Lazy day in rainy Miami….about to hit the boardwalk….so close to the Bahamas I can smell the peas n rice/crack conch/guava duff!” Rick tweeted Monday evening.
Rick also elaborated on his first place finish, saying that as the only participant in his category, he finished both first and last in the male celebrity division!
